Public Health Emergency Preparedness for Pharmacy Professionals

The Virginia Department of Health in partnership with the Virginia Pharmacists Association has collaborated to develop the topic and theme for Community Based Emergency Response Series (CBERS) 2015: Public Health Emergency Preparedness for Pharmacy Professionals.

Strong relationships between pharmacists and state and local health departments during times of emergencies can be mutually beneficial and build upon each one's inherent strength.  Pharmacists can be an essential partner with health departments for distributing and dispensing critical medications or vaccines during a public health emergency.  Given the demonstrated benefits of such partnerships, health departments and pharmacists should proactively develop and strengthen relations.

This training event is FREE.  Click here for the flyer for this event.  Feel free to share the flyer with other pharmacy professionals!
